Commercials NOIBN

Post by Xjmt » Thu Feb 23, 2006 7:16 am

This has been bugging me since I first saw this commercial. It's for (I think)Chrysler Town and Country van. There's a lady with short dark hair which we see; sitting in a recliner reading while wearing a blouse and a short black skirt, jogging on a treadmill in stretch sweats, playing with paper airplanes with a young girl while back in the black skirt then going out to the vehicle to demonstrate how easy it is to get the seats folded down in the rear still wearing the black skirt.

Now comes the question! She reminds me, physically, very much of the female in the first two seasons of "24" that eventually killed Jack's wife. Has anyone seen this commercial and if so have you felt the same?

Oh yeah; NOIBN = Not Otherwise Indicated By Name.

We will now resume with our regular programing. :-D

FROSTED CEREAL

Post by Xjmt » Thu May 04, 2006 11:53 am

OK, so I guess nobody saw that one. How 'bout this?

Young girl, pre-teen, in a spelling bee gets stuck on the word aardvark when a frosted cereal not unlike a small shredded wheat with icing appears on her microphone and she then spells the work correctly?

On the surface this girl has almost everything wrong with her face; big ears, doofus smile and it looks like some missing teeth. But for some reason she has to be one of the cutest girls in commercials right now. Why? I really think she's a doll. What's the attraction? :scratchhead:

And don't anybody say "Cabbage Patch Dolls" cuz I HATED those ugly beasts with a passion! :flame:

Sorry, JT. I haven't seen the commercial, and I didn't watch the program. :(

They may have made a cartoon using the cabbage patch dolls, but as far as I'm concerned, they are still the ugliest things ever sold.
Cute tho, in an ugly sort of way. Kinda like a pug nose dog.
You can teach an old dog new tricks. :D

A line from a song as sung by Harry Belafonte,

"It was clear as mud but it covered the ground.."
No, I was actually responding to your first note
Actually my first note only addresses a commercial not a show. In fact I usually see this commercial on CNN 'tho it does appear on network TV from time to time.

I still think she looks like the 'bad lady' in "24".

I finally saw this commercial today. (first time watching the tube in a long time) and thought the little girl, and the commercial was cute. Totally unbelievable, but cute. I think the attraction for you was her ears. :rotfl:
